Seagull Sonata

These are not birds
But ideas in my mind

Each clamouring
For attention

Asking to be fed
And wanting to soar

High into the
Open sky

Marathon Man

There are some who run
towards fame
Others who prefer to run
towards anonymity

There are some who run
into waiting arms of lovers
And some who run
far away from others

But what do you make of those
who are constantly
running away from
the demons within themselves

Planet Of The Apes

What do I say of
A species that undermines
The value of trees
It's hard to believe
Man is related to me

And sadder still to
See his arrogance
And greed
Bringing him down
To his knees

Childhood Law Number 1

Whenever I find
Attention to be
In short supply

All I have to do
Is let out my most
Anguished cry

A Study In Yellow

It's not in our job profile
To be staid and mellow

Like sunflowers proud
We wear our yellow

Guaranteed to cheer up
The grumpiest fellow

A Fellow Photographer

Here's a fellow tourist
Looking out for the perfect frame
Unaware that his casual walk
Prevents my composition
From being drab and plain

Why Boys Must Remain Boys

It's easy to bond when
We are one of a kind

And when you renounce
Every wordly possession,
The concept of desire

Where is the quarrel
Between what's yours
And what's mine?
