Childhood Law Number 1

Whenever I find
Attention to be
In short supply

All I have to do
Is let out my most
Anguished cry

A Study In Yellow

It's not in our job profile
To be staid and mellow

Like sunflowers proud
We wear our yellow

Guaranteed to cheer up
The grumpiest fellow

A Fellow Photographer

Here's a fellow tourist
Looking out for the perfect frame
Unaware that his casual walk
Prevents my composition
From being drab and plain

Why Boys Must Remain Boys

It's easy to bond when
We are one of a kind

And when you renounce
Every wordly possession,
The concept of desire

Where is the quarrel
Between what's yours
And what's mine?

Crooked Shadows

Follow me
Not my shadows
For I am as straight as the
Day I was born

While shadows tend to
Take the shape of the
Objects they fall upon

On Sharing

Look into my eyes
You'll see a hypnotic gaze
Warm and so caring

When actually all I am
Trying to do is guilt you
Into a human thing
Called sharing

Surround Sound

If you are calling me
Right now
I think you might have
To shout

If I'd be able to outshout
One crow, let alone a murder
Now that would be something
To crow about

Towering Heights

Hey, what kind of Bournvita
Your mom gives you guys

That stretches your legs by miles
Yet puts no muscle on your thighs

Battery Down

Doesn't it look like
I am powered by the sun

I started the day as a
Noisy brat looking for fun

But now that the sun has set
My energy levels are spent

And with this day, I think
I am quite done

Reflections Distorted

Your eyes are a reflection
Of mine
My eyes are a reflection
Of yours too

Then why is it that
In your eyes
My perspective looks
Twisted and a little untrue

Our Children's World

What words do we have
To soothe our children
Still unborn?

Can we look them
In their eyes

To tell them their world
Has very few flowers
And far too many thorns?
